Evidence-based Yoga & Mindfulness Protocol for Addiciton Prevention & Recovery

Let Us Help You Serve Your Clients...

Whether you're a non-profit, a government agency, or a faith-based service organization we'd love to partner with you to help your clients thrive.

BrightLife is a multi-modal, yoga-based protocol proven to assist in the prevention and recovery of addiction disorder.

But don't confuse us with the typical yoga or mindfulness program found in so many addiction treatment facilities—BrightLife is much more.

Built on our work helping over 6,000 U.S. service members and veterans heal from trauma and addiction, the six-week program employs a mix of evidence-based interventions, on both the somatic and cognitive levels, that deliver a comprehensive mind-body approach to wellness while interrupting key internal triggers that fuel addicted behaviors.

Demonstrated positive therapeutic outcomes include:

Reduced incidence of urges and cravings

Enhanced resilience and emotional stability

Improved discretion and self-control

Established habits of regular self-care

Enhanced introspection and self-awareness

Improved mental focus

Enhanced management of stressors

Reduced experiential avoidance

Improved confidence and self-image

Development of a positive, growth mindset

Before BrightLife my entire life felt like a battle. This program has helped me learn how to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Sounds weird, but it changed everything for me.

The BrightLife Difference

BrightLife employs a truly integrated approach to wellness and self-empowerment and is designed to fill the gaps left by many traditional treatment programs.

Seasoned clinicians will recognize inspiration from a range of proven therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and positive psychology, all riding on a vehicle of yoga and mindfulness techniques.

The core objective of the program is to empower clients to reduce triggering emotions, modulate impulses, and enhance their mental and emotional resilience and control.

To that end, BrightLife provides clients with an new lens through which to understand their addictions—and combines this with actionable insights and practices to diminish the symptoms of addiction disorders.

Somatic practices, like trauma-informed yoga posture sequences, breathwork, meditation, and yoga nidra, are primarily aimed at addressing the sympathetic dominance typical of the addiction-affected nervous system and are designed to reestablish the natural, balanced state.

BrightLife’s cognitive activities include customized neurological repatterining exercises designed to progressively neutralize five-specific maladaptive habits of thought and attention that unnecessarily fuel the cravings and reactivity that drive addictive behaviors. See our curriculum section for more details.

All in all, the process is designed to help your clients to recognize and rewrite the harmful mental patterns that fuel addictive cycles and other maladaptive behaviors.

Whether integrated as a complementary modality in an existing treatment regimen, implemented as a home-based aftercare program, or offered as a stand-alone program, BrightLife is proven to create meaningful shifts in self-mastery and resilience to help clients regain control for life.

Thanks to this work, my CPTSD symptoms have all but disappered.

A huge part of my addiction was driven by my efforts to cope with the effects of childhood trauma. After just a few weeks of the BrightLife practices, I'm feeling restored and in control.

Flexible Implementation Models

BrightLife is typically deployed in a six-week format, however, since the program is modular, it can be fully implemented in as little as four-weeks and offered as a long-term after-care program for up to six-months.

With three implementation models available, BrightLife is designed to fit easily within your treatment regimen.

BrightLife's Learning & Practice Components

While BrightLife can be implemented in a variety of ways, all deployments share the same major learning and practice components including...

Weekly Learning Modules - Engaging video lessons arm clients with the insights and practices they need to regain their health and ever-greater measures of mastery over thoughts and emotions.

Daily Yoga and Meditation Practices - Trauma-informed yoga and meditation practices are designed to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and can be performed in less than an hour a day.

Neurological Repatterning Exercises - Utilizing BrightLife's proprietary N.O.T.E. Process, these cognitive exercises work to neutralize five key maladaptive mental patterns that can trigger addicted behaviors.

Real-world Practices - Utilizing the fill-in-the-blank style BrightLife Freedom Journal, these practices enable clients to weave the power of their BrightLife practices into their daily lives.

Weekly Live Coaching - These sessions are designed to emphasize key learnings from the weekly Learning Modules and practices and provide a forum for questions, answers, and mutual support.

After three rounds of treatment, I was terrified things would never get better...

This helped me see my addiction in a completely new way. Understanding how I was being controlled, and having the tools to fight back, has been a game changer for me.
